How do I move my data to a new phone?

Open the app, go to your account, and export an encrypted backup. Save the file somewhere you control, install Flareless on the new phone, then import the file. Your history comes across with you. We never receive a copy.

I forgot to back up and lost my phone. Can you recover my data?

We are sorry, but no. Your data lives only on your device by design, so we never had a copy to restore from. This is the trade off that keeps your data fully private. Exporting a backup now and then is the safety net.

How do I sign in?

Enter your email and we send you a one time code. There is no password to remember or reset. If a code does not arrive, check your spam folder, then request another.

Does the app track calories?

No. Flareless never tracks calories, macros, or weight. It is only about working out which foods and habits upset your gut.

A product was missing or wrong when I scanned it.

Product data comes from Open Food Facts, a community database. If something is missing, you can still log it by typing the name. The catalogue improves over time.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app, open your account and choose delete account. This removes your local data and closes your sign in. Uninstalling the app also removes the local database from the device.
